Is it different that traditional figure drawing class, I already took some.
Basically what happens in the class, please give me some details on what are some of the stuff you have to do and work on during different phases of these classes. Like do you still work on a lot of gestures with live models, or mostly long poses? Do you still work with **** models or just skeletons and mannequins?

My niece and nephew who are 5th & 6th graders and myself(12th Grade) would like to learn how to draw. What are some good updated drawing books that we can use.
The reason why I aksed was because, my 12 year old nephew likes to draw Dragon Ball Z, Sonic The Hedgehog and Boy Shows. And my 10 year old niece and myself would like to do Fashion Design(Everything from Shoes to Sunglasses to Clothes) She likes Bratz and things. I have some questions.
1)What are some basic books that will teach us how to draw?
2)Are there any Character Drawing Books
3)If a person has a Talent in Coloring very well what kind of job can they get with that?

I just completed a chalk drawing, and I’m trying to keep it from smearing. I tried this can of Krylon Workable Fixatif I got at Walmart, but the chalk still comes off when I put my finger on it. I also tried hairspray, but it just makes the drawing look blotchy, and the chalk STILL smears. What can I do?

I’m not used to drawing landscapes, better with people. Any tips on how to draw a realistic dark sky using soft pastels? Layer light to dark, or dark to light?

I am getting into drawing a certain manga cartoon style but i have a hard time imagining it and putting it down on paper. I want to draw what I think and see but there is nothing that interests me except small children and things that small children use for example a baby and a bottle. I notice not very many people draw babies or toddlers but I want to draw them in a cartoon manga sort of way. My question is how do I get it out of my head and on to paper details and all. I know that it takes practice but does anybody have any advice for this field?
